We make anatomic sandals, slippers, and clogs in Istanbul. Twelve years running this factory, 34 in footwear altogether.

The company behind us, Mat Star, started in Bulgaria in 1971 doing wholesale shoes. It expanded gradually — first across Bulgaria, then into Eastern Europe — and eventually opened retail stores under the Mat Star name. There are 63 of them now, in Bulgaria, Macedonia, Romania, Greece, Hungary, Serbia, Kosovo, Syria, and Iraq.

Mat Star entered Turkey in 2013, acquiring half of TIGERLINE. By 2018 they had full ownership and brought in Dr.Klompa and Dr.Mez under the same roof. Capacity sits at 50,000 pairs a month: PVC injection, polyurethane injection, Monta slippers.

We export to Spain, Italy, Germany, Romania, and Croatia, plus a string of North African and Middle Eastern markets — Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Tunisia, Palestine, Algeria, and others. Since 2021 we've also sold wholesale in Turkey through our Gedikpaşa showroom in Beyazıt, working with local brands and handling custom orders.

In 2024 we launched Trefir, a direct-to-consumer site for both retail and wholesale.
